Football Recap: Ripon Christian Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Ripon Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were dealt a 56-18 defeat at the hands of the Sonora Wildcats on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-14 back in October.

Although Ripon Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Daniel Lambdin, Carson Cho, and Mason Tameling.

Sonora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tommy Sutton led the charge by rushing for 155 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries. What's more, Sutton posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September. Brody Speer also helped out as he racked up 115 rushing yards.

Ripon Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Sonora, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Ripon Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sonora, they will host Woodcreek at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,122 yards in their previous games.
