Football Game Preview: Erasmus Hall Dutchmen vs. South Shore Vikings

The Erasmus Hall Dutchmen will square off against the South Shore Vikings at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Erasmus Hall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully South Shore likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Erasmus Hall made easy work of Lincoln and carried off a 34-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Dutchmen, who have now won six contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Kendu Brown had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 199 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes, while also rushing for 32 yards. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Justus Murray, who picked up 72 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, South Shore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 36-31 to Kennedy. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Erasmus Hall pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points over those games. As for South Shore, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Erasmus Hall against South Shore in their previous matchup back in September of 2019, as the team secured a 29-0 win. Do the Dutchmen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
