Soccer Game Preview: Steele vs. North Ridgeville

The Steele Comets will take on the North Ridgeville Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Steele is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Avon on Wednesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Isabelle McGee and Sienna Rebman scored both of Steele's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Meanwhile, North Ridgeville kept a clean sheet against Firelands on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Falcons. The result kept North Ridgeville happy, as they haven't lost a game since September 6th.

North Ridgeville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those six matches. With that draw, Steele's record moves to 9-3-1.

Steele beat North Ridgeville by a goal in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-1. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Rangers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
