Volleyball Recap: Harbor Beach Falls Despite Big Games from Keltie Deer and Reese Booms

Harbor Beach's tournament run continued when they took on Port Huron Northern on Saturday. The Pirates took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies.

Harbor Beach's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Reese Booms, who had 16 digs and two aces, and Keltie Deer, who had six digs and four assists. Booms is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Harbor Beach's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-3. As for Port Huron Northern, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Harbor Beach and Port Huron Northern will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pirates will square off against rival Brown City at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Port Huron Northern is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Clair at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
