Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pacifica). Their defense stepped up to hand the Buena Bulldogs an 11-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tritons needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Pacifica has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-1-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight games. As for Buena, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pacifica will head out to face off against Ventura at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ventura's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Buena has already played their next contest (against San Marcos), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
