After a string of seven wins, Teutopolis's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Effingham Hearts. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hearts this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-1 loss back in September.

While Teutopolis had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19.

Effingham can attribute much of their success to Averie Wolfe, who had ten digs and two assists. That's the most digs Wolfe has posted over her last six matches.

Teutopolis' loss dropped their record down to 25-10. As for Effingham, they pushed their record up to 23-14 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither Teutopolis nor the Hearts have any future games scheduled.
