Recap: Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda vs. Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks
The Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 52-44 win over Sheridan Hills Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Don Soffer Aventura, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Don Soffer Aventura can attribute much of their success to Nimrod Amiel Eilon, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Amiel Eilon, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Sheridan Hills Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Micah Smith, who scored 14 points along with three steals and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Seay, who scored seven points along with six steals.
Don Soffer Aventura now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Don Soffer Aventura will head out on the road to take on LaSalle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LaSalle is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Sheridan Hills Christian will take on Franklin Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
