Softball Recap: Auburn Trojans vs. Kent-Meridian Royals
Auburn's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Kent-Meridian Royals 25-5. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Tanya Declaro made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Declaro was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Rayah Goodfellow-Miller was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and five runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Amy Somera, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
