Recap: Ocracoke Dolphins vs. Cape Hatteras Hurricanes

The Ocracoke Dolphins waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Cape Hatteras 55-41. That's another feather in the cap for Ocracoke, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Cape Hatteras had strong showings from Samuel Jenkins, who scored 17 points, and Griffin Couch, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Ocracoke is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Cape Hatteras, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocracoke will take on Hobgood Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cape Hatteras, they will head out on the road to square off against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Columbia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Cape Hatteras likes a good challenge.
