Josh Marler posted a new career-high in passer rating on Friday. He threw for 265 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. His passing game has become a key predictor of Highland Park's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Marler and Highland Park will host Spearman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marler had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their game back in October of 2024 53-12.
