Triton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on six straight.
Sophie Howell was nothing short of spectacular: she had 14 digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Lydia Hammond, who had 13 digs.
They weren't the only good servers: Triton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Wayne Canterbury only served three.
Triton's record now sits at 24-11. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 19-9.
Triton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Rossville on the 1st. Fort Wayne Canterbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
