Basketball Game Preview: Concord Spiders vs. Forest Hills Yellow Jackets + How To Watch

The Concord Spiders will head out on the road to face off against the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Concord is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.8 points per game this season.

Forest Hills will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Concord extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Spiders walked away with a 76-66 victory over Lake Norman Charter. The Spiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Kyzen Coleman was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 24 points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds gave him a new career-high. Jabari Byrd was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten boards.

Concord smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Forest Hills lost to Cuthbertson on the road by a 66-48 margin on Thursday. The contest marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Forest Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Concord, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Concord took their win against Forest Hills in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 79-56 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spiders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
