Basketball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

Foothill's tournament run continued when they took on Watsonville on Friday. The Foothill Cougars fell 74-62 to the Watsonville Wildcatz.

When it comes to explaining why Foothill lost, don't look at Matt Poulsen. Despite the final result, he went 11 of 17 en route to 22 points. With that strong performance, Poulsen is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Zane Miceli, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 12 points and three steals.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Watsonville, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Foothill will be taking part in a tournament against Fairfield at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Watsonville, they will venture away from home to face off against Mission San Jose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
