Lincoln Leadership Academy proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Chester Charter Scholars Academy Sabers 3-2. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lincoln Leadership Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Chester Charter Scholars Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a 12-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 16-25, 19-25, 25-19, 15-3.

Karina Morales paced Lincoln Leadership Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Morales got some help from Jade Rosario and her 19 assists. Rosario was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

Lincoln Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Lincoln Leadership Academy will take on Motivation at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Penn Wood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
