Baseball Recap: Issaquah Finds Home Field Redemption Against Battle Ground

There's no place like home for Issaquah, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Battle Ground Tigers 2-1.

Tanner Scharnhorst looked comfortable as he struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Issaquah saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Carvalho, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Carvalho also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

The victory got Issaquah back to even at 4-4. As for Battle Ground, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coming up, Issaquah will face off against Redmond at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Battle Ground, they will take on Newport - Bellevue at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Battle Ground is facing Newport - Bellevue at the right time seeing as Newport - Bellevue is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
