Cordova was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Houston Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Wednesday.

Ellie Coulter was a one-man wrecking crew for Houston as she had 18 aces, five kills, and ten assists. The dominant performance gave Coulter a new career-high in aces. Another player making a difference was Ansley Pardue, who had three aces and 11 assists.
