Volleyball Recap: South Aiken Baptist Christian Comes Up Short

If South Aiken Baptist Christian was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Sandhills last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The CRUSADERS lost 3-0 to the Curtis Baptist Crusaders on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

South Aiken Baptist Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-9.

Hanna Dennis paced South Aiken Baptist Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Dennis got some help from Bella Bailey and her seven assists. Eve Thomas controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

South Aiken Baptist Christian's record is now 9-8-1. As for Curtis Baptist, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
