Osceola is 0-6 against East Ridge since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Osceola Kowboys will welcome the East Ridge Knights at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Osceola is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They never let Poinciana onto the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Kowboys haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Milanys Lopez was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Lopez was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Destiny Ferrer was incredible, going a perfect3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, she also posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Pritti Rodriguez, who went a perfect2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Osceola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poinciana only posted an OBP of .471.
East Ridge never got on the board in their matchup last Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Lake Minneola last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 11-5 margin over the Hawks.
Simmone Hymiller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lilly Land, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Lelia Bolden, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Osceola might still be hurting after the 18-2 defeat they got from East Ridge when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Osceola have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
