Football Game Preview: Briarcrest Christian Saints vs. McCallie Blue Tornado + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Hudson Tucker and Elliott Drapeau are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Briarcrest Christian Saints will welcome the McCallie Blue Tornado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Briarcrest Christian will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Memphis University School, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Saints claimed a resounding 46-7 win over the Owls. The Saints pushed the score to 38-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Owls had no chance of recovering from.

Briarcrest Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. It was a group effort, with five picking up one apiece. Robert Thomas is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but McCallie had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed past the Irish to the tune of 59-20. The Blue Tornado's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Briarcrest Christian better keep an eye on Xavier Fillion. He was instrumental in McCallie's win, rushing for 59 yards and one touchdown.

McCallie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Briarcrest Christian, their record is now 7-3.
