Volleyball Recap: Norcross Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Norcross had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lowndes Vikings on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Norcross had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-13.

Norcross found their leader in sophomore Dakota Washington, who had 13 digs. Whitney Willenborg also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Norcross was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matchups.

Despite the defeat, Lowndes had strong showings from Natalie Kolb, who had ten digs, and Emma Grace Godwin, who had 19 digs and five kills. Godwin is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Norcross' win bumped their record up to 31-13. As for Lowndes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 28-14 record this season.

Norcross wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Alpharetta on the 21st. Lowndes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
