Football Recap: Central Skates Past Excelsior Springs with Ease + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Park Hill, Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Excelsior Springs Tigers, posting a 49-14 victory. Considering the Indians have won three contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braeyden Hale out in front who rushed for 55 yards, and also threw for 34 yards and one TD. Hale showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 55 yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Kayden Fenwick, who picked up 53 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 295 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Excelsior Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

The Indians are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Excelsior Springs, they will take on Kearney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 10.4 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
