After a string of five wins, Centura's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against the Norfolk Catholic Knights, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Centurions have suffered since October 29, 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-16.

Kennedy Davis paced Centura's offense, picking up nine kills. Davis got some help from Belle Taukiuvea and her 23 assists. Davis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Norfolk Catholic was led to victory by Sidonia Wattier and Reese Timmerman. Wattier hit 85.7% for six kills and eight digs and three aces, while Timmerman had eight digs and two assists. The last time Wattier's hitting percentage was this high was over her last 11 matches.

Centura's defeat dropped their record down to 25-8. As for Norfolk Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

Centura does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Norfolk Catholic, they will take on Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
