Baseball Game Preview: Line Mountain Eagles vs. Upper Dauphin Area Trojans

The Line Mountain Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Halifax hit Line Mountain with a four-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Wildcats, falling 10-2. The Eagles have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Upper Dauphin Area came up short against Susquenita on Wednesday and fell 9-5.

Upper Dauphin Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Minier, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Isaac Jackson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Upper Dauphin Area now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Line Mountain, they now also have a losing record of 3-4.

Line Mountain couldn't quite finish off Upper Dauphin Area when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 5-3. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
