Football Game Preview: Apollo vs. Marshall County

Marshall County have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they will take on Apollo at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

Things haven't been easy for Marshall County, and their matchup two weeks ago only extended their streak of losses to four. They took a serious blow against Owensboro two weeks ago, falling 7-50. Marshall County were down by 0-50 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Apollo came into their this week averaging 32.86 points per game, but Apollo fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were dealt a punishing 0-40 defeat at the hands of Owensboro. Apollo were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-28.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
