Basketball Recap: Noah Soltero's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Southwest SD over Ramona

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southwest SD can now relate to. They fell just short of the Ramona Rams by a score of 64-62 on Tuesday. The Raiders have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Soltero, who posted 16 points. Khalid Deiranieh was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Ramona's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Troy Terrell led the charge by posting 20 points. Another player making a difference was Garrett Pickens, who earned 19 points.

Southwest SD's loss dropped their record down to 25-8. As for Ramona, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.

Southwest SD does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ramona, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-61 defeat against Fresno Christian on the 6th.
