Soccer Game Preview: Piedmont Classical vs. Triad Math and Science Academy

The Piedmont Classical Bobcats will square off against the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Piedmont Classical has given up an average of 7.1 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Piedmont Classical fell victim to Leadership Academy and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 9-0. Piedmont Classical have struggled against Leadership Academy recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Triad Math and Science Academy got the win against Cornerstone Charter on Tuesday by a conclusive 5-2. Triad Math and Science Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by three goals or more this season.

Sang Hpuana and Jorge Flores scored all five of Triad Math and Science Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Triad Math and Science Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two matches. As for Piedmont Classical, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Piedmont Classical might still be hurting after the 10-1 defeat they got from Triad Math and Science Academy in their previous matchup two weeks ago. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bobcats were down 5-0.
