Soccer Game Preview: Toppenish vs. Othello

The Toppenish Wildcats will face off against the Othello Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Toppenish had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but East Valley put an end to it on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Red Devils. Toppenish's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Othello didn't have quite enough to beat Ephrata on Saturday and fell 4-3. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Othello came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Ephrata are ranked 139th).

Othello's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Toppenish, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.
