Football Game Preview: Warren County Eagles vs. Tarboro Vikings

Two dominant backs in Graham Hosch and Kamerin McDowell-Moore are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Warren County Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Tarboro Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Warren County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Holmes as they made off with a 40-14 victory. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

Meanwhile, Tarboro took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-7 victory over East Bladen. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.

Warren County better keep an eye on Caiden Everette. He was instrumental in Tarboro's win, rushing for 83 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Tarboro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Tyler Powell, Everette, and Jaden Jenkins picked up one apiece. Jenkins got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Warren County's record is now 11-2. As for Tarboro, their record now sits at 13-0.

Warren County was dealt a bruising 71-0 defeat at the hands of Tarboro when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
