Basketball Recap: Center Line Piles Up the Points Against Clintondale

Center Line waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed by the Clintondale Dragons to the tune of 75-41. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for TE'REZ HOLMES, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was KAMEREN HIGGINBOTHAM, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points along with seven assists and seven boards.

HOLMES wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Center Line was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Center Line pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points per game. As for Clintondale, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

The future could be bright for both Center Line and Clintondale: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Center Line will try to hand University Prep Art & Design their third-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Meanwhile, Clintondale will try to hand Detroit Public Safety Academy their fifth-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
