Baseball Recap: Edgewood's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Edgewood fell victim to Garfield and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 13-0 to the Garfield Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Lions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Edgewood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnathan Enriquez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. Enriquez also put up two hits, which were his first of the season.

Edgewood's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13 runs. As for Garfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Edgewood will face off against Whittier Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garfield, they will take on Verdugo Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
