Leavitt entered their tilt with Poland on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 win over the Poland Knights. While the Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Leavitt's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Poland, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leavitt will take on Medomak Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poland, they will challenge Sacopee Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
