The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Glenn Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tippecanoe Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Tippecanoe Valley proved they can win big on Monday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bremen, sneaking past 3-1.

Dalynne Bussard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Tippecanoe Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Temperance Caudill, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Caudill has posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Glenn came up short against Jimtown on Tuesday, falling 13-3. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Makinzie Kline made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Makayla Laskowski was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Tippecanoe Valley pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Tippecanoe Valley hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Glenn struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Tippecanoe Valley couldn't quite get it done against Glenn in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-4. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
