Carrizo Springs put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pleasanton Eagles 51-18. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Carrizo Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Melanie Davila, who shot 80% from the field to rack up 17 points and seven steals. Davila has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jai'Leah Arambula, who went 6-for-10 en route to 15 points.

Carrizo Springs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Carrizo Springs' win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Pleasanton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Carrizo Springs and Cole will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Pleasanton, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cuero at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
