Volleyball Recap: Meadowbrook's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Meadowbrook entered their tilt with John Glenn on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Little Muskies with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colts also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Meadowbrook was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-9, 25-11.

Meadowbrook can attribute much of their success to Journey Nicola, who had 12 digs and three aces. Sommer Ginn was another key player, getting eight digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Meadowbrook was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in four consecutive contests.

Meadowbrook's record now sits at 19-2. As for John Glenn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Meadowbrook didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Circleville on the 11th. As for John Glenn, they will be taking part in a tournament against East Liverpool at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
