Baseball Game Preview: Rhinebeck Hawks vs. Dover Dragons

The Rhinebeck Hawks are taking a road trip to take on the Dover Dragons at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Dover took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Rhinebeck, who comes in off a win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Rhinebeck and Ellenville meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Hawks narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Blue Devils 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won three in a row.

John Haight was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Hunter North also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Dover came up short against Spackenkill on Monday and fell 5-2. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dover's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Rhinebeck, the win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 2-3.
