Soccer Game Preview: Coral Reef vs. Palmetto

Coral Reef is 0-8-2 against Palmetto since November of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Barracudas will look to defend their home pitch against the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Coral Reef's victory against Coral Gables wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Barracudas narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cavaliers 2-1. The victory continues a trend for Coral Reef in their matchups with Coral Gables: they've now won five in a row.

Katelyn Frazier and Victoria Pozo scored both of Coral Reef's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Palmetto hadn't done well against Doral Academy recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Firebirds. Considering Palmetto have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Coral Reef's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Palmetto, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
