Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Lowndes). They claimed a resounding 50-12 win over the Okolona Chieftains. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Panthers just coasted through the last quarter.

West Lowndes didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Trence Robertson and Christopher Elder.

When it comes to explaining why Okolona lost on Friday, don't look at Kingston Blanchard. Despite the final result, he picked up 133 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Blanchard really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 91 yards.

The victory (which was West Lowndes' third in a row) raised their record to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points on average over those games. As for Okolona, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

West Lowndes has already played their next matchup, a 40-0 loss against Calhoun City on the 30th. As for Okolona, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 34-26 victory against Vardaman on the 30th.
