Basketball Game Preview: Alleman Pioneers vs. Erie-Prophetstown Panthers

The Alleman Pioneers will head out to face off against the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Erie-Prophetstown took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Alleman, who comes in off a win.

Alleman is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Quad Cities Christian 60-28. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Pioneers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while the Eagles are ranked 218th).

Meanwhile, Erie-Prophetstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 60-37 to Princeton.

Erie-Prophetstown's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Alleman, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-17.

Alleman won a game that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2022, slipping by Erie-Prophetstown 32-31. Does Alleman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Erie-Prophetstown turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
