Baseball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-2 to the Spring Valley Timberwolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pioneers of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Wayne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Queen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Spring Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Wayne has already played their next game, a 10-6 defeat against Hoover on the 27th. As for Spring Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-5 win against Huntington on the 26th.
