Volleyball Recap: Wilton/Wing Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mandaree last Thursday, Wilton/Wing came back down to earth. The Miners took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Salem Holsteins on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Miners of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Wilton/Wing's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for New Salem, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Wilton/Wing will venture away from home to challenge Washburn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Salem, after both having extra time off, they and Richardton-Taylor will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
