Baseball Recap: Glencoe Takes a Loss

Glencoe had lost four straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 7-12 to make it five. They lost 10-0 to the Sherwood Bowmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bowmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Monday.

As for Sherwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The result was nothing new for Sherwood, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Sherwood's part, the team relied heavily on Connor Parry, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sam Hunt, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

While Glencoe had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
