Lake Creek is 7-2 against Brenham since November of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lake Creek Lions will challenge the Brenham Cubs at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lake Creek duked it out withCollege Station on Friday. Lake Creek enjoyed a cozy 70-54 win over College Station. The victory was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Brenham beat Rudder 64-56 on Friday. Given the Cubs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Rangers are ranked 565th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brenham has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Lake Creek, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

Things could have been worse for Lake Creek, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-43 loss to Brenham in their previous matchup back in January. Can Lake Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
