Volleyball Recap: Lowell Takes a Loss

Lowell extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-5. They lost 3-0 to the Andrean Fighting 59ers. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Fighting 59ers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Emily Aguilar paced Lowell's offense, picking up five kills. Aguilar got some help from Josie Laub and her eight assists. Aguilar also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Chloe Cora, racking up two apiece.

As for Andrean, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-9. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 19th (when they won 3-0).

Dani Poskin went supernova, getting 27 digs and three assists. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Lowell has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Hanover Central on the 11th. As for Andrean, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Illiana Christian on the 11th.
