Baseball Game Preview: NSU University Sharks vs. Community School of Naples Seahawks

The NSU University Sharks will square off against the Community School of Naples Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

NSU University is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Monday. They put the hurt on Saint Andrew's with a sharp 15-2 win.

Landon Petty looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February of 2024.

On the hitting side, NSU University got a massive performance out of Rocco Rovetto, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradyn Potter, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

NSU University was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Community School of Naples had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Golden Gate as Community School of Naples made off with a 12-2 victory.

NSU University took their win against Community School of Naples when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1. Will NSU University repeat their success, or does Community School of Naples have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
