Sequoia won the last time they faced Half Moon Bay and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ravens came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Ravens.
Sequoia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 25-13, 25-18.
Samantha McMurtry paced Sequoia's offense, picking up 18 kills. McMurtry got some help from Jayda McGlennon and her 42 assists. Grace Popler controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
Sequoia's record is now 18-14. As for Half Moon Bay, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-14.
