Preview: Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda vs. Dr. Krop Lightning
Don Soffer Aventura has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Dr. Krop Lightning at 7:30 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Nimrod Amiel Eilon and Joseph Washington.
On Friday, Don Soffer Aventura came up short against Ransom Everglades and fell 52-43.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Amiel Eilon, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Amiel Eilon, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Dr. Krop made off with a 52-51 win over Coral Reef.
Washington was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Dr. Krop's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmanuel Ferguson, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds.
Don Soffer Aventura's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Dr. Krop, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.
