Baseball Game Preview: West Broward Bobcats vs. St. John's Cadets

The West Broward Bobcats will face off against the St. John's Cadets at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Friday, West Broward made easy work of Episcopal School of Dallas and carried off a 9-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Derek Sclafani looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ivan Sabater, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenuel Rosario, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, St. John's put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Bishop McNamara 15-2. The Cadets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.

St. John's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for West Broward, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
