Basketball Recap: Westmoreland Comes Up Short

Westmoreland was the 42-36 winner over Allen County-Scottsville when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Westmoreland Eagles took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Allen County-Scottsville Patriots on Tuesday. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Westmoreland and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Allen County-Scottsville, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

Westmoreland will welcome Trousdale County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Allen County-Scottsville, they will venture away from home to square off against Warren East at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Warren East has won three straight at home, while Allen County-Scottsville won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
