Baseball Game Preview: Page Sand Devils vs. Winslow Bulldogs

Page is 2-8 against Winslow since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Page Sand Devils will welcome the Winslow Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. Page will be strutting in after a victory while Winslow will be coming in after a loss.

Page is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Pinon with a sharp 22-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Sand Devils in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Jaren Scott looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, Shaine Begay was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Mason Yazzie, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.

Meanwhile, Winslow lost 14-2 to Benjamin Franklin on Saturday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winslow saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Romero, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
