Softball Preview: Walden Grove Wolves vs. Sunnyside Blue Devils

Walden Grove hasn't had much luck against Sunnyside recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wolves will square off against the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Walden Grove after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Ironwood Ridge by a score of 6-5.

Maddie Holzer was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Natalie Holzer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday.
